The food is amazing, fresh, delicious home style fare. Potato Chip Chicken, Smothered Chopped Beef Steak, Grilled or Fried Pork Chops, etc. Scrumptious sides and salads. Delectable desserts. The compliments and praise go on and on. Another Mexia restaurant jewel!! Please treat yourself to the homemade goodness of this establishment. The hours are limited though. 7am-3pm Monday-Thursday. And Friday 7am to 7pm. Call for weekend hours as I was there before the New Year’s holidays

Coming through town and ask at a gas station where was a good place to get home cooking. They recommend here. I can say they were perfectly correct. The food was superb the staff was very friendly. Will definitely eat here again when coming through. Thanks for having us. Valerie and Shawn mercer

Cute little cafe in Mexia, TX with excellent food and friendly service. The pancakes were so light and fluffy, and the biscuits and gravy were delicious. Can’t wait to go back!

It's country and good eatin'. Good size plates too. Went on mother's day and got a chocolate covered strawberry when I paid the tab. Thank you! My mother and I enjoyed it very much.

Amazing breakfast, lunch and pies! Their food is so good and all home made by the amazing cooks. To top it off the staff is so friendly, welcoming and the owners come around to check that everyone is satisfied with their orders. Clean restaurant, friendly staff, and delicious food, 100% recommend Countryside Cafe and will be coming back to try more plates!
